Very sad and the formation in the rock looks like an imprint of a butterfly.

Awwwwww....that is sad. I considered posting a similiar demise. The loggerhead shrikes are famous for impaling my favorite dragonflies on the barb-wire fence to feast on at a later time. Not a pretty picture!
